Signs your key needs programming
- The car unlocks with the blade but won't start, or shows an immobiliser / "key not detected" warning.
- The remote buttons stopped working even after a new battery.
- You've bought a new or second-hand key or fob that needs pairing to your car.
- You want an old or lost key removed from the car's memory for security.
Try this first: the battery
If only the remote buttons have stopped (and the car still starts), a flat fob battery is the most common cause. Most use a CR2032 or CR2025 coin cell. If a fresh battery doesn't fix it, or the car won't start, the key or remote has probably lost its pairing — that's when we can help.
What we program
Transponder chips, remote locking, flip keys and keyless entry / push-button-start fobs for most European, Japanese and Korean makes — including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, VW, Skoda, SEAT, Ford, Vauxhall, Toyota, Nissan, Honda, Kia, Hyundai, Peugeot, Citroën, Renault, Fiat, MINI, Land Rover and Jaguar.
Supplied your own key?
We're happy to program keys you've bought yourself, but online keys vary a lot in quality and some can't be coded at all. Send us a photo and the part number first on WhatsApp and we'll tell you honestly whether it will work before anyone travels. Keys we supply ourselves carry our 1-year warranty.
